Smells Like Less Stress: Why Palo Santo is your smart shortcut to relaxation

You get home, your mind still open five tabs, your body on autopilot. And then? Ignition. Not from the laptop. From the Palo Santo.

Palo Santo isn't an incense stick. It's a mood switch. An olfactory reset button. And yes, it smells as good as relaxation should feel.

What is Palo Santo and why does everyone suddenly want to use it for incense?

Palo Santo (Spanish for "holy wood") originates from South America, and ours comes from Peru to be precise. It has been used there for centuries, not only for traditional incense rituals, but also because its fragrance is simply effective.

The key lies in the wood's essential oils, especially limonene, a monoterpene which, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI, 2018) , has mood-enhancing, anti-inflammatory and anxiety- relieving properties.

Studies have shown that limonene acts directly on the limbic system – the part of the brain responsible for emotions, memory, and stress processing. The result: less tension, more calm.

In short: It smells good, and sometimes that's all it takes.

Palo Santo needs no dogma, just your decision.

Palo Santo is often marketed as a purely spiritual tool. For us, it's simpler: it's a fragrant reminder to take a moment and consciously choose how you want to fill that moment.

Our woods aren't just any old wood; they're engraved. Each one carries a small intention that you can choose when you light it: Alignment, Happiness, Love, Peace, and Success. No esotericism here – just a conscious way to ease into your after-work relaxation.

Because fragrance has an effect. And a clear intention sometimes has a greater impact than any mantra.

Smart fragrance instead of diffuse, constant stress

According to a study by the University of Vienna (2019), we react particularly strongly to woody, warm, slightly citrusy scents because they stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system. This means you biologically switch to "relaxation" mode even before you consciously perceive that you are calming down.

Therefore, Palo Santo doesn't work like a room fragrance – but like a state of mind.
